I Believe

I believe…

Each and every one of us is Here For Something Great,  and the pursuit of that greatness is why we are here. Our individuality was not a mistake.  We were never meant to sing the same song, walk in the same direction, or think the same thoughts.  Our diversity and collective wisdom is the blessed offspring of our uniqueness.

Truth is true, until it is challenged and proven to be untrue.  Claims by zealous believers of so-called truth, is often just a belief or opinion held by a group of same-minded people.  Actual, undeniable, irrefutable truth is rare, but it does exist.

We are more alike than we are different.  Political party, tribe, religion, ethnicity, nationality are all superficial divisions.  We have learned to compartmentalize in ways that are harmful to who and what we really are…blood relatives of one original man and woman. We know this to be the case, but conduct ourselves as if it weren’t.  This denial and resistance of actual truth is perhaps our greatest downfall.

The truth is solid, deeply rooted, reliable, and unmovable.  We cannot break the truth, we can only accept it or break ourselves against it.  The truth is, we are one family.  Death, destruction, and all manner of unspeakable suffering is the predictable manifestation of the foolishness of denying the truth of our oneness.

There is an energy or presence of power, intelligence, and unlimited possibility that is all around us, all the time.  There is a connection between the most majestic mountains, the Northern Lights, a Siberian tiger, a fire ant, and you.  The brilliance of music, poetry and prose, science, philosophy, and wit are always present, and always available to anyone willing to tap into it.

God is true, although the word GOD is simply a convenient label to contain what in all fairness can never be contained or fully understood.  God loves and accepts you exactly as you are.  God is what’s behind the infectious laughter of a child, the playfulness of a pod of dolphins, the statuesque grandeur of a redwood, a stunning symphony, or hip hop beat.  God is the light-speed connection between a question and a perfectly witty response.  God is the burning fire that fueled the excellence of Jesus, Gandhi,  Martin Luther King, Malala Yousafzai, Elie Wiesel, Price, and Jahana Hayes.

Love is true. Love is the breath of God.  It speaks every language, breaks through every barrier, and is universal.  Even when we stubbornly ignore its presence, it still stands.  Love is ever-strong, it’s faithful, and enduring.  Love is inclusive, and requires nothing from you. Love is all good all the time.  Love never hurts.

Someday mankind will find its way.  We will learn the lessons our mistakes have strived to teach us.  It probably will not happen next week, or the week after, but change will come.  We will slow down and then stop our descent into utter disaster.  We will ultimately realize our true power and know that power is impotent without each other.

I believe that eventually…everything is gonna be alright.

I want to change the world, and I know that I can with a little help from my friends. So, I created The MInd of KLH blog to inform and spark the imagination of anyone desiring a world full of possibilities realized. One Love...Really!
